Staff
There is a core team of six paid staff with additional volunteers and ad hoc staff to call on when required.
Each child in nursery is allocated a key worker. This is the person you can talk to regarding your child’s development or any other issues.
The nursery is run by a voluntary committee.
Manager - Julie Blakely took over as manager of the Nursery in August 2011. Julie brings a wealth of experience from working in nurseries and a background in management. She lives in Scone and has 2 school age children.
Jennifer Wark is a long serving member of Nursery staff. A qualified secondary school teacher, she taught in Ayrshire before moving to Perth and nursery. She has grown up children and enjoys badminton and walking.
Carol White has been involved with Nursery for many years, firstly as a mum when her two sons attended, then Chair of the Nursery Committee and now as a member of staff. Carol originally qualified as an Occupational Therapist. She enjoys music, sewing and cooking.
Colleen Hunter joined the Nursery in August 2006. She worked in Perth Theatre for many years before seeking a career change to Nursery work. She qualified with a HNC in Childcare and Development from Perth College in 2004 and has worked in a variety of nurseries on a supply basis. She has three secondary school-age sons and enjoys photography, cooking and walking.
Sally Robertson has worked at nursery since August 2007. She has since studied for and attained her SVQ Level 3 Childcare, Learning and Development qualification. Sally enjoys reading, countryside walks, cooking and travelling as well as being mum to her 3 primary-aged children. Before having her children, Sally was a travel agent.
Cara Moffat started with the nursery in August 2011 as a Nursery Assistant - She has extensive experience working in nurseries in and around Perth. Cara lives in Perth and has 1 daughter.Nancy Colville has worked at the nursery on and off since 2002 and 6 of her children have already attended the nursery. She is currently on maternity leave.
Maggs Harvie is covering a Maternity Post at present. Maggs has been involved with the nursery for a number of years and has three school age daughters.
